COURSE SYNOPSIS :
This course discusses the fundamental aspects of environment and environmental conflicts that we face today. Environmental issues at international level such as human population explosion, global warming and climate change, ozone depletion, overexploitation of natural resources, pollution, waste management and emergent of diseases will be emphasised. Sustainable development principles and impact of development to the environment as well as laws formulated pertaining to the enhancement of environmental quality are also discussed.
