My Experience

Assalamualaikum and hi there! It’s been a long time I have never post any entry. It’s because I have been to hiking the adventurous 4898 feet of Nuang’s mountain to see and feel the beautiful of nature that created by our Lord. For me, to be a free hiker that always goes travel to each side of the world give me a big meaning that teach me how to be a nature lover. I had grown in a busy place for 22 years with traffic jam, and pollution and this make me want to find a better and peaceful place to release my tension. And I think the one of the best places I have spent any time is climbing mountains because it is so challenging besides the surrounding up there is so quiet and peaceful.

For me, my mind set for hiking the mountain is because I want to see the sky up there that more closes to me rather than looking from my home. The more higher the mountain, the more me closes to the sky. For me, sky is the marvelous and great moment of the true beauty, and the only one thing that I which I could never forget.
Thus, I would like to thanks The Lord of these marvelous things who have given these to the mankind irrespective of caste and creed.

I keep wonders what is the miracle about sky that up above my head. Every time I reach a peak of mountain, I keep telling myself that earth is the best and marvelous place to live on. It is a great privilege to live thereon, and to experience its goodness. And we as a human have to learn to find the meanings rather than to be satisfied only with the spectacles.

Thank God

Alhamdulillah for this marvelous created by God. As I said before, the miracle about sky that up above my head is answered by the statement in the Quran. So He ordained them seven heavens (skies) in two days (periods) and revealed in every heaven its affair...” making it clear that every layer served a different purpose, and thanks to which life on earth was possible. And Alhamdulillah for this strength that given by God, I had a chance to see the beautiful sky-atmosphere by my own eyes in a closes way. I hope my mission to reach 13455 feet of Kinabalu’s mountain one day will succeed and hopefully I can see the more miracle that Allah create up there. That’s all for now. Till then we meet again.

THE HYDROSHPERE

>> Tuesday, August 11, 2009

In physical geography, the term hydrosphere describes the collective mass of water found on, under and over a planet’s surface. The Earth’s hydrosphere consists chiefly of the oceans, but technically includes clouds, inland seas, lakes, rivers and underground waters. Ninety-seven percent of the Earth’s water is in the oceans. The remaining three percent is fresh water; three quarters or the fresh water is solid and exists in ice sheets. Earth is the only planet where water is found, and it is found in its three different forms;

• Liquid (water)

• Gas (vapor)

• Solid (ice)

Nearly 3/4 of the Earth’s surface is covered by water, hence the nick-name “the Blue Planet”. Remember, water is also found in the ground and in the soil as well

The biosphere serves as an interface between the spheres enabling water to move between the hydrosphere, lithosphere and atmosphere as is accomplished by plant transpiration. The hydrologic cycle traces the movement of water and energy between these various stores and spheres.

Billions At Stake In Palm Oil Battle Over Orang-Utans
Malaysia fears a campaign pushing plantations' environmental threat will rock key export industry.

MALAYSIA is worried about the economic impact of a campaign by Western non-governmental organisations (NGOs) seeking protection for orang-utans whose habitat, they say, is being threatened by oil palm plantations.

The groups claim that forests in the region are being cleared to make way for bigger palm plantations, thus reducing the orang-utans' habitat.

While the campaign's main focus is Indonesia, Malaysia is affected as its territory includes the orang-utan's habitat on the Malaysian part of Borneo, and local firms are expanding plantations into Indonesian territory.

The Malaysian government has expressed its concern the campaign could affect consumer perception on palm oil.

Few about composting

>> Saturday, August 1, 2009

Compost is decayed, organic plant matter.

Compost soil is very rich soil and used for many purposes. A few of the places that it is used are in gardens, landscaping, horticulture, and agriculture. The compost soil itself is beneficial for the land in many ways, including as a soil conditioner, a fertilizer to add vital humus or humic acids, and as a natural pesticide for soil. In ecosystems, compost soil is useful for erosion control, land and stream reclamation, wetland construction, and as landfill cover.

Almost all organic material works in a compost pile. You’re aiming for a good balance between carbon-rich matter (“browns”) and nitrogen-rich materials (“greens”). Brown materials are things like dried leaves, wood chips and straw, whereas greens constituted grass clippings and kitchen scraps. Active composting requires finding the right mix for your compost pile.
